CAMA Product

 

The CAMA Product is based on the .Net architecture from Microsoft Corporation. This architecture allows flexibility in both the design and operation of the application product.  Web enabling is also a function of the .Net platform. 

CAMA functionality includes:

Screen Design Customization – Data input/information display screens are easily configurable to allow customization to each individual appraisal district’s needs and desires.  Data entry fields may appear on multiple screens (e.g. homestead coding on land and improvement screens as well as on the exemption information screen).

Multi-Tasking Operating Environment – Multiple parcels may be opened for update/inquiry at a single workstation.  Multiple tasks such as data maintenance/inquiry, reporting and query functions may be activated and worked on concurrently.

Reporting System Using Active Reports and Adobe PDF Architecture – Easily export report information using Adobe, the industry standard for exchange of printed information.

Standard Appraisal Tools – Sketch and square footage calculator for residential and commercial improvements is readily available.  Calculation tables can be updated using Marshall and Swift classification tables.  Land calculation methods include acreage, front foot, square foot, table-driven approaches to value.  Personal property calculation is based on the state of Texas guidelines.  

Portable Software – Software can be loaded on field device(s) for field data entry / reference of property by field appraisers.  Complete system includes upload, download and tracking of field property items using pen-based technology.

Fast Data Tracking – FDT is a unique tool which gives users a track of screens accessed in the system on an account by account basis.  When accessing an account, a quick glance informs the user of the functions already performed on an account.  As an auditing tool for management it gives an overview of screen activity by a user on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis.

Integrated Query Functionality – IQF is a software assisted query development tool for fast data retrieval and ad hoc reporting.  Build SQL queries without a working knowledge of SQL.

Intelligent Bar Code Recognition – IBCR interprets a bar code and returns a specific action based upon the particular bar code being scanned.  Bar coding is available on all system produced forms.
